Ladies and gentlemen, this is a phaser rifle! Well, it’s a PHaSR rifle, more awkwardly known as the “Personnel Halting and Stimulation Response” rifle. Developed by the ominously named ScorpWorks, the Air Force says it’s the “first man-portable, non-lethal deterrent weapon intended for protecting troops and controlling hostile crowds.” The USAF makes no mention of its use in repelling Borg invasions or retaking Planet-P from the Arachnids.
